AV20-DURFIX
Hardener and fluidifying agent for synthetic gypsum
Benefits
- Make the gypsum very hard with a greater mechanical resistance
- It eliminates the natural porosity of the gypsum so that the surfaces, after drying, are uniformly smooth.
- The product also has the property of fluidizing the gypsum facilitating casting into the molds.
- The gypsum products produced with the AV20-DURFIX additive are particularly suitable for treatment in galvanic baths of silvering, gilding, brass plating, following the same procedure used for polyester resin.
The liquid hardener for gypsum AV20-DURFIX gives the common gypsum (scagliola gypsum, alabaster gypsum, mold gypsum, model gypsum, etc.) a very high hardness and greater mechanical resistance, so as to make the artifacts comparable, as general characteristics , to those obtained with polyester resins.
AV20-DURFIX also eliminates the natural porosity of the gypsum so that the surfaces, after drying, are uniformly smooth. It also has the property of fluidizing the gypsum making it easier to pour into the molds.
The artifacts produced with hardened gypsum are particularly suitable for being treated in galvanic baths of silvering, gilding, brass plating, following the same procedure used for polyester resin.
Prepare the water / AV20-DURFIX solution according to the 10: 1 ratio (for every 1,000 gr of water add 100 gr of AV20 Durfix hardener). Thanks to the antibacterial components contained in the product, the mixture obtained can be stored for a long time (over 12 months) and taken at the time of use.
With the gypsum, always take the required amount of liquid part (Ex: with the GV41 use 0.28 kg of mixture) and sprinkle the powder until completely absorbed.
